Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je bil sintetizirati, karakterizirati in uporabiti kovinske katalizatorje na TiO2 nosilcu. Postopek sinteze katalizatorjev smo izvajali z metodo mokre impregnacije različnih aktivnih soli kovin na izbrani nosilec. Aktivnost sintetiziranih katalizatorjev smo preverjali z reakcijo esterifikacije miristinske kisline z metanolom v šaržnem reaktorju. Metoda ob izbranih pogojih ni bila primerna, saj nismo dobili aktivnih katalizatorjev. Sintetizirali smo še katalizatorje na nosilec γ-Al2O3. Nanj smo vezali različne kovinske ione, a le v primeru vezave Al3+ in Zn2+ ionov dobili učinkovite katalizatorje. Produkte smo po zaključeni reakciji analizirali s HPLC sklopljenim z UV-VIS detektorjem. Na osnovi dobljenih rezultatov za standardne raztopine smo skonstruirali umeritveno krivuljo ter iz nje izračunali koncentracije in presnovo miristinske kisline v metil miristat. Najvišjo presnovo reakcije (88,2 %) in največ metil miristata smo dobili v primeru vezave Al3+ ionov. Sintetizirane katalizatorje smo karakterizirali z različnimi metodami, kot so Brunauer-Emmett-Teller metoda za merjenje adsorpcije N2 plina, diferenčna dinamična kalorimetrija, infrardeča spektroskopija s Fourierjevo transformacijo, vrstična elektronska mikroskopija, termogravimetrična analiza in temperaturno programirana desorpcija. Iz analize z omenjenimi metodami smo dobili podatke o obliki, zgradbi ter kemijskih in fizikalnih lastnostih sintetiziranih katalizatorjev.

Secondary title: Synthesis and application of metal catalyst on TiO2 support
Secondary abstract: The aim of this diploma thesis was to synthesise, characterise and apply metal catalysts on TiO2 support. The catalyst synthesis process was carried out pursuant to the method of wet impregnation of various active metal salts on the selected support. The activity of the synthesised catalysts was checked with the esterification reaction of myristic acid with methanol in a batch reactor. The method was not suitable under the selected conditions, as we did not obtain active catalysts. We also synthesized catalysts on the γ-Al2O3 support. Various metal ions were bound to it, whereas effective catalysts were obtained only in the case of binding Al3+ and Zn2+ ions. After the reaction was complete, we analysed the products by HPLC coupled with an UV-VIS detector. Based on the results obtained for the standard solutions, we constructed a calibration curve and used it to calculate the concentrations and rates of conversion of myristic acid to methyl myristate. The highest reaction metabolism (88,2 %) and the most methyl myristate was obtained in the case of binding Al3+ ions. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by many methods, e.g. Brunauer-Emmett-Teller method for measuring N2 gas adsorption, differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and temperature-programmed desorption. We obtained data from the analysis, using the mentioned methods. The data comprised the information on shape, structure, chemical and physical properties of the synthesized catalysts.
