Abstract

V diplomskem delu raziskujem, kako dekleta in dečki zadnje triade osnovne šole doživljajo razlikovanja v šolskem prostoru glede na njihov spol.

Secondary title: Experiencing Gender Differentiation in the Last Three Years of Primary School
Secondary abstract: This graduation thesis discusses how girls and boys in the last three years of primary school experience differentiation in school according to their gender. The aim of this research was to identify gender differences related to the situation in primary school and what girls and boys define as sexual differentiation in school. I also wanted to explore the gender differences in the context of learning success and in experiencing and expressing emotions in school. The results of the research showed that both girls and boys feel included in their class and have a good relationship with teachers. Nevertheless, both girls and boys say that they experience gender differentiation in school. In doing so, they highlight their relationship with teachers who treat them unequally and have different expectations towards boys and girls. My research shows that girls achieve better grades than boys. In addition, both girls and boys hide and suppress "negative emotions" in school, but once they are back home in a safe environment, boys express them more intensely.
