Abstract

Diplomsko delo zajema teoretični in aplikativni del. Prvi del predstavlja vodenje, značilnosti vodje in stile vodenja ter opis vodenja v sodobnem okolju. Drugi del definira digitalno preobrazbo, procesno usmerjenost organizacije, celoviti digitalno preobrazbo delovanja organizacije ter indeks merjenja stanja digitalne preobrazbe in stanje v Sloveniji. Izzive predstavljajo predvsem novi vodilni položaji, nove informacijske tehnologije, odpor zaposlenih do digitalne preobrazbe in konkurenčni pritiski. Izmed sedmih izbranih stilov vodenja potrebujejo naslednji štirje stili vodenja prilagoditve: avtokratičen stil vodenja, kooperativni stil vodenja, avtentičen stil vodenja in transakcijsko vodenje. Preostali trije stili vodenja pa so primerni brez dopolnitev: demokratičen stil vodenja, transformacijsko vodene in situacijsko vodenje. Predlagali smo ustrezne prilagoditve in podali predloge za prakso, kjer smo vsakemu izzivu pripisali optimalen stil vodenja.

Secondary title: Leadership styles in a digital environment
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis covers the theoretical and applied part. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two parts. The first part presents leadership, characteristics of leaders and leadership styles, and a description of leadership in the modern environment. The second part defines digital transformation, the index for measuring the state of digital transformation and the situation in Slovenia. Leadership is the ability to influence others to achieve the set goals in the organization according to the vision. How a leader influences employees depends on the chosen leadership style. The leadership styles used in the industrial age differ from those appropriate in the information age and digital environment. In the past, the most often used leadership styles were the ones where the leader underestimated his subordinates and did not include them in decision-making processes, for example, the autocratic leadership style. Today, or in the modern environment, leadership styles such as cooperative leadership style and democratic leadership style prevail, where the leader has a respectful and positive attitude towards employees, includes them in the decision-making process and delegates work. In the third, applied part of the task, we found out what challenges managers face after the digital transformation. The challenges are primarily new leadership positions, new information technologies, employee resistance to digital transformation and competitive pressures. We analyzed the suitability of the existing management styles and proposed adjustments or additions that enable the manager to use these styles in the organization after the digital transformation. From the seven selected leadership styles, the following four leadership styles need adjustment: autocratic leadership style, cooperative leadership style, authentic leadership style and transactional leadership. The remaining three leadership styles are suitable without additions: democratic leadership style, transformational leadership and situational leadership. We suggested appropriate adjustments and gave suggestions for practice, where we assigned an optimal management style to each challenge.
