Abstract

Družbena omrežja so postala pomembna sestavina našega vsakdana. Izvedli smo analizo in pregledali skupno 180 objav petih slovenskih medijev na izbranem družbenem omrežju, nato smo rezultate strnili, povzeli in analizirali.

Secondary title: Journalist ethics on social networks
Secondary abstract: Social networks have become an important part of our everyday life. Although their appearance has had a positive effect on the speed of information dissemination, the development of social media has caused a battle for the attention of users and increased the volume of ethically questionable news. Due to the decline in the popularity of traditional media and the rise of social networks, more and more media houses are present on the mentioned platforms, often creating unethical contributions that seek clicks. The purpose of the thesis was to determine to what extent the Slovenian media on the social network Facebook follow the Code of Journalists of Slovenia and what approaches they use to attract the attention of users. We performed an analysis and reviewed a total of 180 publications by five Slovenian media on the selected social network, then summarized, summarized and analyzed the results. We found that an average of 90.5% of media posts on Facebook do not comply with the code, and that the most common violation is failure to cite sources and concealment of key information for understanding a certain topic.
