diplomsko delo
Abstract

Secondary abstract: |
The thesis addresses the sports association's management and reorganization of processes due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2019, a pandemic was declared worldwide as a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 spread in China. The extremely rapid spread of the new virus and its dangerous consequences led to the collapse of health systems. The measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus had a significant impact on the country's economy.
The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical characteristics of the company's operations, focusing on sports management in sports organizations. The first part also covers the theoretical basis of all research areas. Research was carried out at the Bolero Ljubljana Dance Club.
In the second part, we interviewed the head of management at Bolero Ljubljana Dance Club, who is also a competitive team coach. We have undertaken the analysis and review of internal marketing reports, financial reports, and dancers' attendance at training sessions before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the third part of the thesis, we present our findings and answer the research questions.
The first finding relates to the overall change in the dance club’s operation and service delivery, which was necessitated by unpredictable and changing circumstances. The change mitigated the effects of the crisis in the organization but failed to prevent it.
The second finding relates to the new processes developed in the marketing and management of the dance school and club. They will be maintained in the future, as they have proven to be effective in marketing and result from effective strategic planning.
The third finding relates to the motivation and physical performance of sports coaches and competitive dancers, which have visibly deteriorated during the period of changed service delivery. |
