Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je otroke v predšolskem obdobju spoznati s prstnimi in z ročnimi lutkami, jih spodbujati pri izdelavi in kasneje vodenju le-teh. Otroci so na naših srečanjih razvili pozitiven odnos do lutk in se z improviziranim vodenjem urili v lutkovno-dramskem izražanju, nebesednem in jezikovnem izražanju.

Secondary title: A great hand, little fingers in kindergarten
Secondary abstract: The aim of the Graduation thesis is to make kindergarten children familiar with finger and glove puppets, to encourage them to make and afterward to manipulate them. In the theoretical part of the thesis, children's play, role of adults in children's play and motivation are presented. The focus is on definition of a puppet and types of puppet techniques. Furthermore, finger and glove puppets are described in detail. We researched how puppets are made, a communication with a puppet and finally a play with a puppet. The practical part includes seven targeted lesson plans, presenting introduction of finger and glove puppets to children in kindergarten, making of puppets, learning to animate them and lastly setting up our own theatre. Twenty-three children aged five to six were included in the activity. Children have developed positive attitude to puppets and practiced dramatic, non-verbal and verbal communication by improvised manipulation during activities.
