Abstract

Pri struženju je nezaznana obraba rezilnega roba pogosto vzrok izdelovanja kosov, ki ne dosegajo geometrijskih in površinskih zahtev. Rešitev tega problema je mogoča v sistemu za spremljanje obrabe rezilnega roba. Ta na tržišču še ne obstaja v nizkocenovnem rangu. Cilj naloge je izdelati merilni sistem za merjenje vibracij na stružnem nožu in z njim definirati obrabo. V ta namen smo sestavili merilni sistem, zasnovan na mikrokrmilniku Arduino Uno in PVDF-merilnem lističu, ter napisali kodo za procesiranje signala v programskem jeziku Python. Izmerili smo vibracije med živjenjsko dobo rezilne ploščice pri različnih materialih in ovrednotili rezultate.

Secondary title: Development of a toll-wear monitoring system
Secondary abstract: Unknown tool wear in a turning process is frequently the cause of production of parts with inadequate geometrical and surface finish demands. This problem can be solved by introducing a system for tool wear detection. In the lower price range, there is currently no such system avalible on the market. The goal of this assignment is to build a system for measuring vibrations of the cutting tool and to find its correlation to the wear impacting the tool. For this purpose we have built a measuring system based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller and the PVDF strain gauge and wrote a code for signal processing in the programming language Python. We have measured vibrations during the tool's lifespan while turnning different materials and evaluated the results.
