Abstract

V socialnem delu na področju varstva otrok in družine ter zaščite otrok se pogostokrat srečujemo z otrokom, ki ima izkušnjo pričevanja intimnopartnerskemu nasilju otrokovega očeta nad mamo. Raziskave kažejo, da je pričevanje otroka nasilju med staršema pogostokrat travmatična izkušnja, ki v otroku in njegovem razvoju pušča pomemben odtis in vpliva na psihološke, zdravstvene in socialne izide otroka v odraslosti. Za namen diplomskega dela sem opravila raziskavo pri odraslih, ki so kot otroci doživljali izkušnjo pričevanja intimnopartnerskemu nasilju nad staršem. Z njihovimi zgodbami želim prispevati kanček več zavedanja o tej temi k socialnemu delu na področju varstva otrok in družine ter zaščite otrok in s tem prispevati k bolj odzivnemu in bolj kvalitetnemu socialnemu delu na tem področju, na centrih za socialno delo.

Secondary abstract:	In the social work's field of Child and family safeguarding and Child protection we often meet a child who has experienced witnessing intimate partner violence by their father (or their mother's new partner) over the mother. Research shows that witnessing violence over a parent is often a traumatic experience that leaves a mark on the child and his or her’s development, and affects the psychological, health and social outcomes of the child in adulthood. For the purpose of my thesis, I conducted research on adults who, as children, experienced witnessing intimate partner violence over their parent. I want to contribute to the awareness of this topic in the social work’s field of Child and family safeguarding and Child protection with their stories - and thus provide a better responsiveness and quality of social work in this field at social work centres.
