Abstract

V diplomskem poskusu smo proučevali uspešnost pridelave čebule preko sadik na osnovi ovrednotenega pridelka in kakovostnih parametrov. Poskus smo izvedli na Laboratorijskem polju Biotehniške fakultete v Ljubljani, od februarja do avgusta 2021. Uporabili smo dve sorti bele čebule 'Wiener Bronzekugel' in 'Mustang F1' in dve sorti rdeče čebule 'Wiro' in 'Tera'. Stehtali smo količino pobranega pridelka na parcelo, ga skalibrirali in ga razvrstili v tri velikostne razrede (nad 5 cm, 3 cm do 5 cm, pod 3 cm). Sorti bele čebule sta imeli večji pridelek ('Wiener Bronzekugel' 12,1 t/ha, 'Mustang F1' 9,0 t/ha), glede na sorti rdeče čebule ('Wiro' 6,5 t/ha in 'Tera' 6,1 t/ha). Prav tako sta imeli sorti bele čebule večji delež čebulic v največjem velikostnem razredu nad 5 cm, (70 % sorta 'Wiener Bronzekugel' in 43 % sorta 'Mustang F1'), glede na sorti rdeče čebule (36 % 'Wiro' in 23 % 'Tera'). Sorte so se v vsebnosti suhe snovi razlikovale. Sorta 'Wiener Bronzekugel' je imela le 8 % suhe snovi, ostale tri sorte pa 11 % suhe snovi. Po vsebnosti suhe topne snovi je izstopala sorta bele čebule 'Mustang F1' z 20 % STS, najmanj STS so imele čebulice druge sorte bele čebule 'WienerBronzekugel', 10 % STS. Sorti rdeče čebule 'Wiro' in 'Tera' sta imeli 14 % oz. 15 % STS.

Secondary title: Production of red and white onion (Allium cepa L.) from seedlings
Secondary abstract: The graduation trial investigated the success of onion cultivation with seedlings by evaluating yield and quality parameters. The trial was conducted from February to August 2021 at the laboratory field of the Faculty of Biotechnology in Ljubljana. Two varieties of white onions 'Wiener Bronzekugel' and 'Mustang F1' and two varieties of red onions 'Wiro' and 'Tera' were included in the trial. The trial was laid out in 4 replicates, each replicate consisting of 60 plants. The seedlings were planted in the field on 23 April 2021 at a planting density of 20 cm x 20 cm inan area of 3 m2. After 118 days, the technologically mature yield of onion bulbs was harvested. The harvested quantity per plot was weighed, calibrated and the onions were divided into three size classes (above 5 cm, between 3 cm and 5 cm, below 3 cm). For the analysis of morphological and biochemical characteristics, 8 onions from each treatment were randomly selected and weighed, and the size, dry matter content, and total soluble solids content (TSS) were measured. We also measured the color of the sheath scales. Differences in yield quantity and quality were found between varieties. White onion varieties had a higher yield ('Wiener Bronzekugel' 12.1 t/ha, 'Mustang F1' 9.0 t/ha) compared to red onion varieties ('Wiro' 6.5 t/ha and 'Tera' 6.1 t/ha). In addition, the white onion varieties had a higher proportion of onions in the largest size class over 5 cm (70 % 'Wiener Bronzekugel' and 43 % 'Mustang F1') than the red onion varieties (36 % 'Wiro' and 23 % ' Terra'). Three of the varieties did not differ in dry matter content; we measured 11 % dry matter in the onions, and only the variety 'Wiener Bronzekugel' had only 8 % dry matter. The white onion variety 'Mustang F1' stood out in soluble solids content with 20 % TSS, the onions of another white onion variety 'Wiener Bronzekugel' had the lowest value with 10 % TSS. The red onion varieties 'Wiro' and 'Tera' had 14 % and 15 %, respectively TSS.
