diplomsko delo
Abstract
Uvod: Pandemija koronavirusa 19 (COVID-19) je v letu 2020 zajela cel svet. Zdravstveno
osebje je dosegalo tako psihične kot fizične meje zmogljivosti. Medicinske sestre so bile
postavljene pred nove izzive, predvsem v enotah intenzivne terapije. V tem času se je
pojavljalo veliko izgorelosti med medicinskimi sestrami v enotah intenzivne terapije in
drugih oddelkih. Namen zaključnega dela je raziskati in predstaviti dejavnike tveganja za
pojav sindroma izgorelosti v času pandemije pri medicinskih sestrah v enotah intenzivne
terapije.
Metode: Za pripravo zaključnega dela smo opravili pregled literature. Strokovno
literaturo smo zbrali v treh mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CINAHL,
ScienceDirect. Pri pregledu znanstvenih virov je bila uporabljena deskriptivna metoda,
upoštevali smo vključitvene in izključitvene kriterije. Potek iskanja je prikazan s pomočjo
PRISMA-diagrama.
Rezultati: V bazah smo našli 319 relevantnih strokovnih člankov, v analizo smo jih
vključili 15. Analizo vsebine smo prikazali v tabeli, s pomočjo sintezne tabele smo
predstavili skupne karakteristike raziskav.
Razprava in sklep: V večini raziskav je bilo ugotovljeno, da se je med pandemijo covida-19 v enotah intenzivne terapije povečalo število medicinskih sester s sindromom
izgorelosti.

Risk Factors for Burnout Syndrome during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Nurses in Intensive Care Units |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: The Coronavirus 19 (COVID-19) pandemic is set to sweep the globe in 2020.
Healthcare staff were reaching both the mental and physical limits of their capacity.
Nurses have been confronted with new challenges, especially in intensive care units.
During this time, there was a high burnout among nurses in ICUs and other wards. The
aim of this thesis is to investigate and present the risk factors for burnout syndrome in
ICU nurses during a pandemic.
Methods: The literature was collected from three international databases (PubMed,
CINAHL, ScienceDirect). The descriptive method was used in the final work, and inclusion
and exclusion criteria were taken into account. The search process is illustrated using a
PRISMA-diagram.
Results: Of the 319 peer-reviewed articles obtained, 15 are included in the analysis. The
content analysis is presented in a table, using a synthesis table to show the common
characteristics of the research.
Discussion and conclusion: Most of the studies found an increase in burnout syndrome
among ICU nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was due to staff shortages, lack
of supplies and protective equipment, and fear of infecting the home. The introduction
of workplace programmes is important for the prevention of burnout, psychological
support and relaxation techniques are crucial, as this could reduce the number of people
affected. |
