Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela je bil spoznati dobre prakse uporabe diagramov zaporedja in preveriti kako so le-ti podprti v izbranih modelirnih orodjih. Predstavljeni so osnovni gradniki diagramov zaporedja in smernice za izdelavo le-teh. V praktičnem delu smo primerjali namizno orodje »Visual Paradigm« in orodje »StarUML«.

Secondary title: Best practices of using sequence diagrams
Secondary abstract: The purpose of the thesis was to learn about the best practices of using sequence diagrams and to check how they are supported in selected modeling tools. The basic building blocks of sequence diagrams and guidelines for creating them are presented. In the practical part, we compared the desktop tool "Visual Paradigm" and the tool "StarUML". With the help of a review of related works, we created a list of criteria for comparison and then evaluated the selected tools. Both tools provide key functionalities such as syntax checking, code generation and reverse engineering, as well as imports and exports to various formats. Based on the results of the comparison, we conclude that the "Visual Paradigm" tool provides better and more comprehensive support in modeling and in the use of sequence diagrams.
