Abstract

Namen diplomske naloge je bil poiskati način, kako bi povečal topnost substituiranemu fenantrolinskemu ligandu, konkretno 1,4-dihidrofenantrolin-4-on-3-karboksilni kislini (1,4-DPCA). Ta se ponaša z zelo koristno vlogo v regeneracijski medicini, vendar je zaradi nizke topnosti v vodi manj primeren za uporabo. V okviru diplomskega dela sem sintetiziral 1,4-DPCA in se odločil za povečevanje topnosti le-tega s pomočjo ionskih tekočin, bolj natančno z amonijevimi in fosfonijevimi hidroksidi. Pripravil sem ionsko spojino 1,4-DPCA s tetrabutilamonijevim hidroksidom, jo okarakteriziral in poiskal mejo topnosti v vodi s pomočjo umeritvene krivulje.

Secondary title: Attempts to increase solubility of selected phenanthroline ligands
Secondary abstract: The purpose of my thesis was finding a way to increase solubility of a substituted phenanthroline ligand 1,4-dihydrophenanthroline-4-one-3-carboxylic acid (1,4-DPCA). The substance has a useful role in regenerative medicine, but unfortunately it is still underused because of its' low solubility in water. 1,4-DPCA was synthesized and tested for increased solubility in different ionic liquids, especially in ammonium and phosphonium hydroxides. Ionic compound of 1,4-DPCA was prepared with tetrabutylammonium hydroxide, characterised and its' solubility limit determined using a calibration curve.
