Abstract

Secondary title: Partents' responses to child's stubbornness in the time of covid-19 epidemic
Secondary abstract: The diploma paper entitled Parents' responses to child's stubborness in the time of Covid-19 epidemic consists of theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, we described the child's emotional development with the help of the literature and related in more detail to the phenomenon of stubborness in the preschool period. We wanted to know what the causes of stubborness are, how stubborness is reflected in a child and the response strategies of adult. We linked the ways of responding to the child's stubborness with the parents' upbringing styles: authoritarian, democratic and permissive. In the empirical part, we used completed online surveys to investigate in more detail the ways, frequency and strength of child's stubborness in the time of Covid-19 epidemic, and how parents most often responded to child's stubborness according to their upbringing style. 108 parents of pre-school children from 1 to 7 years of age participated in the survey. We found that the Covid-19 epidemic did not have a significant impact on child's stubborness.
