Abstract

V magistrski nalogi je beseda tekla o dveh pomembnih samostanih (Žiče in Vetrinj) ter njunih dvorih v mestu Maribor, obenem pa je bil podrobno narejen pregled vseh posesti, ki sta si jih samostana z leti pridobila v svojo last, bodisi z darovnicami ali nakupi. Za lažje razumevanje celotne naloge je na začetku nekaj besed namenjenih mestu Maribor in njegovemu razvoju v srednjem veku. Nato pa sledi predstavitev obeh samostanov ter njunih dvorov in kratek pregled dogajanja v samostanih skozi stoletja.

Secondary abstract:	The master’s thesis examines two important monasteries (Žiče and Viktring) and their mansions in Maribor. It also includes a thorough examination of all the properties acquired by both monasteries through the years, either through donations or purchases. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the City of Maribor and its development during the Middle Ages to help the reader better understand the thesis as a whole. This is followed by a presentation of both monasteries and their mansions as well as a short overview of the activities that took place in the monasteries through the centuries.
