Online resource reservation system for academic environment

Abstract

In this graduation project we design and implement an online resource reservation system. The system primarily addresses the needs of academic environment and can be used for organized access to research and educational equipment, but is also adaptable. In accordance with modern webdevelopment trends, the core of the system is a REST API that is utilized by the web frontend, but can also be used by the administrators to automate certain tasks. We also evaluate user experience of the frontend. The system is freely available under an open-source license.

Secondary abstract:	V tem diplomskem projektu oblikujemo in implementiramo spletni sistem za rezervacijo virov. Sistem nagovarja predvsem potrebe akademskega okolja in se lahko uporablja za organiziran dostop do raziskovalne in izobraževalne opreme, hkrati pa je tudi prilagodljiv. V skladu s sodobnimi trendi spletnega razvoja je jedro sistema REST API, ki ga uporablja spletni vmesnik, lahko pa ga uporabljajo tudi skrbniki za avtomatizacijo določenih opravil. Ocenjujemo tudi uporabniško izkušnjo frontenda. Sistem je prosto dostopen pod odprtokodno licenco.
