Abstract

Secondary title: Analysis of using battery storage system for peak shaving on the example of technical faculties power supply
Secondary abstract: The thesis presents an analysis of the use of battery energy storage system (BESS) for reducing peak power on the real case of the consumer - Technical Faculties. Both technical and financial issues of peak powers are discussed in the work. The work in the introduction presents the structure and operation of BESS and their use. Described is performance of the necessary measurements of electricity consumption. Based on the results, the load analysis and determination of the peaks are carried out, and then the calculation of the necessary parameters of the BESS to reduce the peak power is made. At the end, a simulation of the BESS operation in the event of a peak shaving is presented, as well as a financial calculation of the investment and payback period in the BESS for peak shaving.
