Abstract

Spremembe so se pričele s tanzimatskimi reformami in bile drastično predrugačene pod sledečo avstro-ogrsko oblastjo.

Secondary title: Change in the administrative system in Bosnia and Herzegovina after Austro-Hungarian occupation
Secondary abstract: The administrative system in Bosnia and Herzegovina underwent a series of changes in the 19th century. The changes began with the Tanzimat reforms and were drastically overhauled under the subsequent Austro-Hungarian rule. The Tanzimat reforms began a period of revolt in the Ottoman province, culminating in the Austro-Hungarian occupation in 1878. The new Austro-Hungarian authorities encountered considerable difficulties. The administrative system in Bosnia and Herzegovina was not suited to an easy transition to modern administration. Austria-Hungary was thus only able to rely on the territorial division of Bosnia and Herzegovina into administrative units, while it had to replace most of the civil service. At the same time, the budget provided for the reorganisation of the administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina has also caused problems.
