Abstract

Secondary title: Digital safety of tourists nowadays
Secondary abstract: When constantly traveling to foreign countries the use of smart devices in always present. A very important question around those devices is are they safe when traveling or more importantly what the general digital safety is when traveling and that are the trend around digital safety in the areas where tourists are most often encountering. This diploma shows the vulnerability of the main areas that tourists most often encounter, this was shows by reviewing the literature to date and showing the number of attacks of those specific areas. It was also shown that trends within the hotel industry are worrying, especially in terms of data security, the investment of effort in properly education the employees regarding information security and the protection of information systems themselves. It also shows the poorly researched field of tourist digital safety. Some individual areas, such as smart airports are well researched, but when we look at it as a whole, we quickly realize that it is not as well researched as we would think. All the findings showed that this area must be further researched in the future, especially within the hotel industry. As a result, a survey was also conducted, which showed that potential tourists value their information and are aware of the importance of preventive measures, but at the same time use only general recommendations, while not using more important ones or that they are simply now aware of their importance. Despite the fact they value their data, the way different organizations manage it, largely does not influence their decisions. Due to those facts, it would be necessary to make tourists or any user aware of the importance of using all preventive measures, not just the basic ones
