Abstract

Rezultate smo prikazali z deskriptivno metodo.

Secondary title: Teacher-student relation in healthcare
Secondary abstract: Introduction: In recent years, both the level of education of people and society's trust in the medical profession have been declining. Research shows that the reason for both are subpar interpersonal relationships, and a lack of understanding for the individual. The result is lower health of the society and difficult pandemic management. One of the solutions to all of this, however, is in understanding the teacher-student relationship, which not only solves this problem but also greatly improves nursing care. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to explore the development and role of the teacher-student relationship in nurses' work, by reviewing the existing scientific literature. Methods: We conducted a review of research and professional literature, which includes upcoming approaches to nursing and health promotion. We used a descriptive method for presenting the results. Results: We found that the teacher-student relationship is related to the quality of the nurse's education, stress in the workplace, the quality of patient care and the financial costs of the healthcare system. As a result, new approaches to nursing are being introduced, based on the greater teaching role of the nurse. The condition for the teaching role of a nurse is the building of the teacher's authority. Discussion and conclusion: Understanding and applying the principles of a good teacher-student relationship has many benefits for nurses and society as a whole. By treating the patient holistically, the nurse becomes, so to speak, his mentor. Through health promotion, however, the nurse becomes a mentor to the entire society. To achieve this, it is necessary to start educating people at the level of primary school and continue this throughout life. This also opens up new employment directions for nurses, but their education also needs to be advanced.
