Abstract

Secondary title: The role of body structure in management of body movement
Secondary abstract: The theoretical part of the thesis, "The role of body composition in movement management", presents movement management in children, the sensorimotor system, its development and functioning, sensory processes and areas, and the development of sensorimotor skills in children. In addition, we gave an overview of children's body composition, physical development, and morphological characteristics. In the empirical part, we present and analyze the data obtained. We used a non-randomized sample from a specific population - Kindergarten Ptuj. The study included 56 children aged 5 to 7. We used 12 movement management tests and a bioimpedance measurement device. Based on the results obtained, we have analyzed the data and presented it in more detail within the framework of the hypotheses. We found no statistically significant association between movement management and either BMI or muscle mass. There is an insignificant positive correlation between fat mass and the ability to manage movement and a low positive correlation between dietary intake and movement management ability.
