med telesnim procesom in kulturnim konstruktom
Abstract

The thesis analyzes specific relations to menstruation and the phenomenon of menstrual taboo from the past to present time. It explores various ways in which the menstrual stigma has manifested itself in our society. The thesis presents two branches of menstrual activism, radical menstrual activism and menstrual activism based on spiritual feminism. The first looks at menstruation from the perspective of third-wave feminism, and the second from the perspective of cultural feminism. An analysis is conducted on how each of them shows a different view of menstruation in the oppositional perspective of patriarchal ideology. It also explores alternative options for menstruation and people who menstruate to be freed from the stigma that still clings to them in modern society due to this biological function. It also provides constructive review of both branches, and contemplates on the potential future of menstrual activism. |
