Abstract

V magistrskem delu predstavljamo znanstvena spoznanja o pomenu poučevanja socialnega in čustvenega učenja ter krepitvi miselne naravnanosti za učence v osnovnih šolah. Izsledki različnih raziskav so pokazali, da se pri učencih, ki izkazujejo razvite socialne in čustvene spretnosti, to kaže z boljšimi rezultati v šoli in pozneje v življenju. V šolah večji del tega učenja poteka implicitno in nesistematično, vendar lahko pri urah oddelčne skupnosti sistematično izvajamo in utrjujemo te veščine in krepimo miselno naravnanost. Z akcijskim raziskovanjem smo izvedli sedem izkustvenih delavnic v 4. razredu osnovne šole v okviru oddelčnih ur. Z delavnicami, kot obliko intervencije, smo učencem ponudili aktivnosti, s katerimi lahko pridobijo osnovne veščine in spretnosti s področja socialnih in čustvenih kompetenc. Ob tem smo jih hkrati opominjali in poskušali ozavestiti, da njihove sposobnosti niso nespremenljive, ampak se lahko še izboljšajo. Učenci so izvedene delavnice ocenili z visokimi ocenami. Njihove samoporočane ocene so bile primerljivo visoke pred in po delavnicah. Ugotovili smo, da je z usmerjenimi delavnicami mogoče opaziti razliko v obvladovanju socialnih in čustvenih kompetenc ter miselne naravnanost, vendar le pri nekaterih učencih. Ugotovili smo tudi, da izvedene delavnice predstavljajo le delno učinkovito intervencijo, ki bi jo bilo mogoče in potrebno nadgraditi.

Secondary title: Implementation and analysis of workshops on social and emotional learning in order to strengthen mindsets in the 4th grade of primary school
Secondary abstract: In this master thesis we will present scientific discoveries about the meaning of teaching social and emotional learning and strengthening growth mindset for pupils in primary school. Different researches show that pupils that have higher developed emotional and social skills, also have better results in school and later in life. In schools most of this learning happens implicit and unsystematic. However, we can systematically strengthen mindsets during class meetings. Using action research, we implemented seven experimental workshops in fourth grade in primary school during class meetings. Through workshops as an intervention, we offered pupils a range of activities to help pupils acquire basic skills in the area of social and emotional competences. We also reminded them and try to raise awareness, that their skills are not unchangeable, but can be improved. Pupils gave our workshop high scores. Their self-reported scores were comparably high before and after workshops. We discovered that with structured workshops, it is possible to notice a difference in mastering social and emotional competences and growth mindset, but only for some pupils. We also discovered that these workshops represent only a portion of efficient intervention, that can and should be upgraded.
