diplomsko delo
Abstract
V njem so objavljena literarna in neliterarna dela, namenjena predvsem otrokom nad 14 let in zajemajo moralistične, verske ter poučne zgodbe, pesmi o otroških igrah in naravi, narodne in vojne zgodbe idr.

Analysis of Motive and Theme of Poems in the Zvonček Magazine (1900-1939) |
Secondary abstract: |
Literary journals and newspapers for children and youth are nowadays widespread and available to readers in hard copy or electronic form. Magazine`s accessibility is much easier than it was in the past, and the selection among them is much bigger, more diverse and adjusted to the public regarding their age. However, in the not-so-distant past, it was different, and for this reason, I decided to analyse one of the youth magazines published in the 20th century. The thesis Analysis of Motive and Theme of Poems in the Zvonček Magazine (1900–1939) is focused on the Zvonček youth magazine, which was published between 1900 and 1939. It is composed of literary and non-literary writings, intended mainly for youth over 14 years of age and includes moralistic, religious and educational stories, songs about children's games and nature, patriotic and war content, etc. The theoretic part deals with the definition of youth literature, its periodization and development throughout history, a view of the child in youth literature, the definition of a youth newspaper from its very beginning in the middle of the 19th century to the present day, a presentation of the Zvonček magazine and its most prominent poets, a breakdown of historical periods, in which the magazine was published and the presentation of some poems by poets. The empirical part includes quantitative analysis, which shows the number of poems in magazines, the number of years of publication of the magazine, the number of poems and poets who published them, and the number of poems by the most prominent poets. The qualitative analysis shows the prevailing aspect of motive and theme in all poems, the prevailing aspect of motive and theme among female and male poets, and the difference between them and the prevailing aspect of motive and theme in each of the individual historical periods in which the magazine was published. The thesis analyses the motives and themes in poems, establishes the connection between sociocultural position and gender in relation to historical periods, and explores the view of the child in youth literature. |
