Secondary abstract: | Outsourcing is a method of company specialisation in activities in which it achieves competitive advantages on the market. Focusing on core competencies while outsourcing supporting activities (e.g., logistics) has enabled company operations to become more efficient. In the car industry, outsourcing is a well-established practice. Due to the complexity of supply chains, logistics is becoming a common subject of outsourcing. Logistics providers have the necessary knowledge and technology to develop complete logistic solutions for different branches. Due to their global presence and a great number of supply chain participants, car manufacturers are the most important users of such services. |
