Abstract

Mehanske lastnosti jekla predstavljajo ključni podatek pri razumevanju, ki vpliva na dimenzioniranje elementov v strojništvu. V magistrskem delu smo v teoretičnem delu opisali fazni diagram železo-cementit, s katerim opišemo kemijsko sestavo jekla. Sledil je opis vrste jekel in njihovih mehanskih lastnosti. V zadnjem delu teoretičnega poglavja so predstavljeni najpogostejši porušitveni preizkusi. V praktičnem delu magistrskega dela smo opisali postopke preizkušanja ter prikazali rezultate v obliki tabel in diagramov s priloženimi slikami za natezni preizkus, kemijsko in mikroskopsko analizo. Najpomembnejši del naloge predstavljajo končni rezultati preizkusov, s katerimi smo materialu določili mehanske in kemijske lastnosti s končno diskusijo o pridobljenih rezultatih.

Secondary title: The influence of low operating temperatures on mechanical properties of steels
Secondary abstract: Mechanical properties of steel represent the key piece of information in understanding what influences the dimensioning of elements in mechanical engineering. In the theoretical part of this master’s thesis, an iron-cementite phase diagram is introducet, with which the chemical composition of steel is described. What follows is a description of steel grades and their mechanical properties. The last part of the theoretical chapter introduces the most common demolition tests. The practical part of this master’s thesis describes testing procedures and introduces results in form of tables and diagrams with attached pictures for the tensile test, the chemical analysis and the microscopic analysis. The most important part of the thesis are the final test results which helped determine the mechanical and chemical properties of the material, with the final discussion of the results obtained.
