Abstract

The paper aims to reconstruct the peculiar "political perception" of deviance expressed by the inquisitors of the Kingdom of Sicily in relation to the atrocious crimes committed by barons and attributed to the "family" of the sacred court, and the alternation of the legislation of Phillip II concerning judicial matters in the hands of the privileged court of inquisition
