Abstract

The presentation of Count Gasparo Arnaldi from Vicenza (1671-1726), whose life was rich with numerous crimes for which he was put on trial several times by the Venetian Council of Ten, will attempt to cover all his criminal and deviant features. The description is based on an analysis of deliberations of judicial authorities and pleas of victims juxtaposed to - in an unusual triad - reflections of Arnaldi himself and the memories of one of his fellow prisoners
