Abstract
Metode: Opravili smo narativni pregled strokovne in znanstvene literature. Poiskali smo članke v angleškem jeziku, v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, MEDLINE, CHINAL, Wiley Online Library, Science Direct ter iskalniku Google Učenjak. Potek iskanja literature smo predstavili s pomočjo PRISMA diagrama. Naredili smo sintezo zbranih virov z uporabo metodo tematske analize.

The impact of relaxation techniques on the well-being of women with multiple sclerosis |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease that most commonly affects women of childbearing age. Relaxation techniques are used as a complementary therapy to manage stress, depression, anxiety and pain in people with multiple sclerosis. The aim of this work is to determine how relaxation techniques affect the well-being of women with progressive multiple sclerosis.
Methods: We conducted a narrative review of the professional and scientific literature. We searched for articles in English, in databases PubMed, MEDLINE, CHINAL, Wiley Online Library, Science Direct and Google Scholar. The literature search was presented using a PRISMA diagram. We synthesised the collected sources using thematic analysis.
Results: We included 16 articles in the final analysis. We have found that relaxation techniques improve the negative consequences of multiple sclerosis, such as stress, depression, anxiety, pain and fatigue.
Discussion and Conclusion: Relaxation techniques have a good effect on the well-being of women with progressive multiple sclerosis. Women who have used these techniques have experienced a reduction in stress, depression, pain, fatigue and improved sleep. Relaxation techniques can improve quality of life and reduce the negative effects of multiple sclerosis. |
