Abstract

Za izdelavo različnih diagramov se dandanes uporablja veliko različnih orodij. Vsako od njih za shranjevanje uporablja svoj lastni format, kar pomeni, da kasneje zelo težko preberemo kakšen diagram. Poleg tega so ta orodja običajno plačljiva in nezdružljiva z drugimi orodji, zato se je na trgu začelo uveljavljati orodje PlantUML. PlantUML je brezplačno, odprtokodno orodje, ki z enostavno notacijo v obliki besedila podpira izdelavo UML diagramov. V sklopu naloge je bil razvit pretvornik iz PowerDesigner datotek v PlantUML notacijo. Pretvornik je dosegljiv v spletni aplikaciji, kjer lahko uporabnik izbere željen diagram in pretvorbo shrani v besedilni ali slikovni obliki. Pretvornik je implementiran v programskem jeziku JavaScript, spletni vmesnik pa v ogrodju Svelte.

Secondary title: Converting diagrams to PlantUML
Secondary abstract: Nowadays, many different tools are used to produce different diagrams. Each of them uses its own format for storage, which means that it can be very difficult to read a diagram later. In addition, these tools are usually chargeable and incompatible with eachother. This is why the PlantUML tool has started to gain traction in the market as a free, open-source tool that supports the creation of UML diagrams with a simple text notation. As part of the task, a converter from PowerDesigner files to PlantUML notation was developed. The converter is available on the web app, where the user selects the desired diagram and can save the conversion in text or image format. The converter is implemented in JavaScript and the web interface in Svelte.
