Abstract

Postopek thixocasting se uporablja za izdelavo nekaterih Al zlitin s posebnimi lastnostmi. Pri tem postopku se spremeni neugodna dendritna morfologija primarnih kristalov v globulitno. Uporablja se pri izdelavi proizvodov s tlačnim litjem , z utopnim kovanjem, pri izdelavi kompozitov, itd. Kot etapno nalogo pri izdelavi kompozitov na osnovi aluminijevih zlitin smo raziskovali vpliv procesnih parametrov (temperatura in hitrost mešanja) na velikost in obliko globulitnih zrn. V prispevku podajamo analizo mikrostrukture tako izdelane zlitine AlSi7. Rxziskave kažejo, da je globulitna mikrostruktura [alfa]-primarnih zmesnih kristalov močno odvisna od hitrosti mešanja in temperature v dvofaznem področju. Na končno mikrostrukturo tako izdelanega materiala pa vpliva tudi hitrost ohlajevanja s temperature dvofaznega področja do sobne temperature.

Secondary abstract: Thixocasting is used to manufacture some Al alloys with special properties. With this process the undesired dendritic morphology of primary crystals changes to spheroidal. The obtained alloys are used for high pressure casting,die forging, manufacture of composites, etc. For composite manufacturing the influence of process parameters (temperature and stirring velocity) on the size and shape of the spheroidal grains was investigated. The paper deals with the microstructure analysis of AlSi7. The results show a strong influence of the mechanical stirring velocity and temperature in the semisolid on the spheroidal microstructure of primary [alpha] crystals. The microstructure also depends on the cooling velocity from semisolid to room temperature.
