diplomsko delo
Abstract
Anketirali smo zaposlene učitelje in učiteljice dveh osnovnih in dveh srednjih šol.

Secondary abstract: |
In this thesis we presented the representation of men and women in the teaching profession on a level of elementary and secondary schools, how they can achieve promotion during their professional career, possible differences in promotion between them and factors, which can be stimulating or have just the opposite effect. Connection was made between their professional work and family life. We also checked sexist beliefs of men and women, which can have indirect influence on promotion prospects and their subjective evaluation on the same matter. We made a survey between teachers on two elementary and two secondary schools and results were presented in a graphic form and by explaining the gained classification. We also conducted a t-test with the help of the SPSS program, where we tested differences between variables. The representation of women in the teaching profession is greater than the representation of men; different result was shown only on one secondary school. In elementary schools women are more successful in gaining promotion, whereas in secondary schools men are. We also found out that women are more occupied with all domestic chores, sexist beliefs are more present in opinions of men and both are satisfied with promotion prospects in the institutions where they work. |
