Abstract

An Attempt at a Literary-Theoretical Definition of Science Fiction |
Secondary abstract: |
In Slovene literary studies the term "science fiction" is of dubious status. Objections arise from the notion that, while science fiction is in fact a literary genre, it has nothing in common with fiction per se, which is its exact opposite. The article makes the point that the development of science fiction, especially in Slovenia, has moved in a non-scientific direction. Thisis because science in the second half of the twentieth century has become so vast and complex that laymen can no longer anticipate its development. |
