Abstract

Diplomsko delo "Kaj bi morali vedeti o sladkorni bolezni v vrtcu" je sestavljeno iz dveh delov, teoretičnega in empiričnega. V teoretičnem smo predstavili osnove sladkorne bolezni, ki bi jih morala vedeti vsaka vzgojiteljica, posebej še tista, ki ima v skupini otroka s sladkorno boleznijo. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave, ki smo jo izvedli aprila 2009 v vrtcih Lovrenc na Pohorju, Selnica ob Dravi, Pobrežje, Tezno, Studenci in Borisa Pečeta. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 70 naključno izbranih vzgojiteljic, ki so odgovorile na 17 vprašanj v anketnem vprašalniku, ki je bil anonimen. Namen raziskave je ugotoviti seznanjenost vzgojiteljic s sladkorno boleznijo pri otrocih, na kaj morajo biti še posebej pozorne pri otroku s sladkorno boleznijo v vrtcu, ali so v skupini v vrtcu že imele otroka s sladkorno boleznijo in kako so se na to pripravile. Prav tako smo želeli izvedeti, kako pomembno je za vzgojiteljice, da so poučene o sladkorni bolezni ter ali bi se bile pripravljene udeležiti izobraževanja o sladkorni bolezni. Pri obdelavi podatkov smo ugotovili, da je kar 10 % anketiranih vzgojiteljic v skupini že imelo otroka s sladkorno boleznijo. Vzgojiteljice poznajo sladkorna bolezen oz. imajo v večini splošno znanje o bolezni. Rezultati so pokazali, da je vzgojiteljicam pomembno, da so seznanjene s sladkorno boleznijo in so se pripravljene o tem še dodatno izobraževati.

Secondary abstract: This diploma paper "Kaj bi morali vedeti o sladkorni bolezni v vrtcu" consists of two parts, the theoretical and the empirical one. The theoretical part presents basics on diabetes which should be known to every childcare worker, especially to those who have a child with diabetes in their group. In the empirical part the results of the analysis carried out in April 2009 in the nursery schools of Lovrenc na Pohorju, Selnica ob Dravi, Pobrežje, Tezno, Studenci and of Borisa Pečeta are presented. The research included 70 randomly chosen childcare workers who answered to 17 questions of the anonymous questionnaire. The purpose of the research was to find out to what extent the childcare workers are acquainted with diabetes in children, what they should pay special attention to when taking care of a child with diabetes, and whether they have ever had a child with this disease in the nursery school group, and how they prepared for it. At the same time we wanted to know how important it is for a childcare worker to be informed of diabetes and whether they are prepared to take part in diabetes education. When processing date, we discovered that 10 percent of childcare workers have had a child with diabetes in their group. Childcare workers are familiar with diabetes and the majority of them also have some common knowledge of it. The results have also shown that the childcare workers find it important to be acquainted with diabetes.
