Abstract

Diplomsko delo opisuje implementacijo realno-časovne komunikacije v platformi Intrix z uporabo knjižnice Socket.io. Najprej predstavljamo tehnologije, ki nam omogočajo realno-časovno komunikacijo, ki so trenutno na voljo, ter primerjamo njihove prednosti in slabosti. Nato opisujemo potek implementacije realno-časovne komunikacije v platformi Intrix in načrtovanje strežnika za realno-časovno komunikacijo. Predstavljamo tudi rezultate preizkusa izjemnih situacij ter ugotovitve analize o varnosti in možnih razširljivostih implementiranega sistema. Na koncu smo prikazali še izboljšave v uporabniški izkušnji ob uporabi aplikacije Intrix po implementaciji realno-časovne komunikacije.

Secondary title: Implementation of real-time communication in the intrix application
Secondary abstract: The thesis describes the implementation of real-time communication in the Intrix platform using the Socket.io library. First, the real-time capable technologies currently available are presented and their advantages and disadvantages compared. Next, the process of our real-time communication implementation in the Intrix platform and the planning of the server responsible for the said real-time communication are described. The results of a conducted stress-test and analysis of the security and possible scalability of the implemented system are also presented. Finally, the improvements real-time communication implementation made to the user experience when using the Intrix application are shown.
