Abstract

Cilj magistrskega dela je določiti optimalne parametre za izdelavo ulitkov, ki ustrezajo zahtevam. Glavna karakteristika kosov, ki nas v nalogi zanima je tesnost. Poleg tesnosti morajo kosi ustrezati zahtevam tako glede geometrije in livarskih napak, kot tudi kemijske sestave materiala. Za analizo vpliva parametrov na tesnost izdelkov, smo kose izdelali pod določenimi parametri za eksperimente. Ko so bili kosi izdelani, jih je bilo potrebno testirati za puščanje in izvesti analizo z radiografijo za odkrivanje poroznih območij. S pomočjo te analize smo lahko določili mesta v ulitku, kjer se poroznost najpogosteje nahaja in tip poroznosti. Prav tako je bila na kosih opravljena analiza materiala za potrditev ustreznosti kemijske sestave. Na podlagi radiografske analize smo določili vzorce za metalografske analize. Z metalografskimi analizami smo določili vpliv procesnih parametrov na poroznost izdelkov in vpliv procesnih parametrov na hitrost ohlajanja izdelkov v orodju. Na podlagi rezultatov smo določili optimalne parametre, jih preizkusili v proizvodnji in potrdili.

Secondary abstract: The aim of the thesis is to define optimal casting parameters for production of parts according to specifications. The most important characteristic of these parts is tightness. Additionally, the parts must also be made in accordance with the specifications concerning the geometry of the parts and casting defects, as well as the chemical composition of the material. To analyze the effect of casting parameters on the tightness of parts trial castings were needed. Once the parts were produced, they were tested for leakage and analyzed with an X-ray machine, to determine the areas in the part where porosity was present. With these tests we could determine where in the part porosity was located most frequently, as well as determined the type of porosity. The chemical composition of the material was also tested to verify the material was within the specifications. Based on the results of the X-ray analysis we determined the area of the part for metallographic analysis. With this analysis we determined the influence of casting parameters on porosity of the casting and on the cooling rate of the material during casting. Based on the results of the analysis the optimal parameters were defined and confirmed in production.
