Zasnova islamsko versko-kulturnega centra na Pobrežju v Mariboru

Abstract

Magistrsko delo podaja idejno rešitev za zasnovo novega islamskega versko-kulturnega centra v Mariboru. Zasnova versko-kulturnega objekta v slovenskem prostoru ponuja ponovni razmislek o možnostih arhitekturnega nagovora tovrstnih objektov. Skozi raziskovanje zgodovinske podlage in razvoja arhitekturne tipologije islamskih verskih objektov razvijemo razmislek o vizualni podobi sodobnih islamskih versko-kulturnih centrov in njihovi vpetosti v okolja v pretežno nemuslimanskih deželah. Urbanistična zasnova in oblikovna pojavnost novega objekta presega stereotipne predstave o tovrstnih objektih ter na sodoben način interpretira značilne islamske arhitekturne elemente. Območje za postavitev novega islamskega versko-kulturnega centra je izbrano na podlagi analiz širšega in ožjega mestnega prostora. Izbrana lokacija ponuja dobro prometno povezljivost, bližino starega mestnega jedra in tako predstavlja optimalne pogoje za umestitev. Novi versko-kulturni center kot skupek duhovnih, socialnih in kulturno-izobraževalnih dejavnosti skupnosti predstavlja pomembno grajeno strukturo v mestu. S svojo zasnovo in prisotnostjo je uspešno integriran v vizualno sliko mesta ter pripomore k programski pestrosti območja.

Secondary abstract:	The master’s thesis proposes architectural design of an Islamic Religious Cultural Center in Maribor. The design of sacral and cultural building in Slovenian city zone rethinks possibilities of the architectural address of such buildings. Through studies of historical background and studies of development of the architectural typology of Islamic religious buildings we develop a reflection on the visual image of contemporary Islamic religious and cultural centers and their integration into predominantly non-Muslim environment. Urban design and designed appearance of new building goes beyond stereotypes about such buildings and interprets typical Islamic architectural elements in a modern way. The area for the construction of the new Islamic religious and cultural center is selected on the basis of analyzes of urban space. The chosen location offers good traffic connectivity, proximity to the old city center and thus represents optimal conditions for placement of design. New religious-cultural centre as a compilation of spiritual, social and cultural-educational activities becomes a key component of the spatial quality of the place. With its design and presence, it is successfully integrated into the visual image of the city and contributes to the programe diversity of the area.
