Abstract

V magistrskem delu se ukvarjamo s prikazovanjem izvedljivosti programsko opredeljene infrastrukture za izvajanje načrta obnove po nesreči. Predstavimo teoretično ozadje metodologije programsko opredeljene infrastrukture in procesa obnove po nesreči. Opišemo delovanje orodij Terraform in Ansible, ki jih uporabimo za implementacijo praktičnega dela magistrske naloge. V praktičnem delu naloge zasnujemo hibridno strežniško infrastrukturo, ki jo nato implementiramo s pomočjo orodij programsko opredeljene infrastrukture. Pripravimo deset različnih testnih scenarijev, na osnovi katerih ovrednotimo implementirano rešitev. Ugotovimo, da je programsko opredeljena infrastruktura izvedljiva za namen izvajanja načrta obnove po nesreči.

Secondary abstract: In this master's thesis we deal with showing the feasibility of infrastructure as code for use in disaster recovery plan execution. We present the theoretical background of infrastructure as code and the process of disaster recovery. We describe the operation of Terraform and Ansible tools, which we use to perform the practical part of the master's thesis. In the practical part of the thesis, we design a hybrid server infrastructure, which we then implement using infrastructure as code tools. We prepare ten different test scenarios, based on which we evaluate the implemented solution. We find that infrastructure as code is feasible for use in disaster recovery plan execution.
