diplomsko delo
Abstract
V pričujočem diplomskem delu z naslovom Aristotel in participativna demokracija sem obelodanil Aristotelov koncept politične participacije in povezavo med etiko in politiko. Temelj diplomskega dela sestavlja analiza Aristotelove Politike in Nikomahove etike. V diplomskem delu sem predstavil tudi Rousseaujev koncept in Webrovo kritiko neposredne demokracije, obrazložil Marxovo obliko diktature proletariata (pariško komuno) in predstavil Kardeljevo samoupravno demokracijo.

ARISTOTEL AND PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY |
Secondary abstract: |
This diploma, entitled Aristotle and Participatory Democracy, discusses Aristotle's concept of political participation and the connection between ethics and politics. The basis for the diploma seminar was the analysis of Aristotle's Politics and Nicomachean Ethics. In the seminar, we engaged in researching the background of participatory democracy, as well as the importance of virtue when making political decisions. According to Aristotle, politics represents the learning of all that is good and virtuous, thus it is the logical extension of ethics. The objective of politics is namely to enable a good life, thus fulfilling the telos. Aristotle held the view that political participation is defined as participation in debates, as well as participation of all (free) citizens in political decision making. Greatness is achieved in democracy if citizens collectively make decisions for the common good. The state is perfect, when all its citizens are free, their actions virtuous and their decisions just. In the diploma thesis Rousseau's concept and Weber's critique of direct democracy are also discussed. Marx's concept of the proletariat's dictatorship (Paris Commune) is also elaborated upon, as well as Kardelj's concept of self-management. The research for this diploma seminar was conducted by descriptive and analytical methods. |
