diplomsko delo
Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo izvedli pregled znanstvene in strokovne literature v angleškem jeziku, in sicer v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Libary, Cureus in MedEdPORTAL. Članke smo analizirali s pomočjo grafov in tabel. Velik potencial so prikazale resne igre in navidezna resničnost.

The Impact of Mass Accident Simulations on the Readiness of Emergency Medical Responders: Literature Review |
Secondary abstract: |
Mass casualty events result in large numbers of acutely ill or injured people requiring immediate medical or mental health care. The increased frequency and severity of mass casualty incidents have made it necessary to equip health workers with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage such incidents. The aim of this thesis is to present different types of mass casualty simulations for health care workers and to examine their impact on their psychophysical preparedness to face a mass casualty event. In this thesis, we conducted a review of the scientific and professional literature in the English language in the PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Libary, Cureus and MedEdPORTAL databases. We have limited the articles to a selected topic, articles that are less than 10 years old and articles that are published in full and freely available. The screening and selection of articles was illustrated with a flowchart following the PRISMA recommendations. The articles were analysed using graphs and tables. We included 7 articles with a total sample of 835 emergency healthcare workers. We have found out that lecturing and then actively participating is the best type of simulation to expect the highest level of preparedness. Serious games and virtual reality have shown great potential. We concluded that continuous staff education is important to maintain knowledge and that simulation and education together, improve triage accuracy in a sustainable way. It should be noted that continuous training in emergency preparedness should be provided in the future. |
