Abstract

Velenje je zelo mlado mesto, ki je svoj razvoj začelo v petdesetih letih dvajsetega stoletja. Zaradi povečanja odkopa lignita, so bile večje potrebe po delovni sili in tako se je začelo množično priseljevanje. Tedanje oblasti so v tem videle priložnost za gradnjo sodobnega modernističnega mesta, s prostostoječimi objekti postavljenimi med velike zelenice. Tako je znotraj mesta našlo prostor veliko različnih športnih površin in objektov, ki pa so danes v različnem stanju. Namen diplomskega dela je bila predstavitev in analiza športnih površin in objektov v mestu Velenje. Pri izdelavi dela smo poleg obstoječe literature uporabil metodo kartiranja ter tehniki anketiranja in intervjuja. S slednjima smo želeli pridobiti mnenje uporabnikov in upraviteljev športnih površin in objektov. Prišli smo do zaključka, da sta ponudba ter stanje športnih površin in objektov solidna je pa še veliko prostora za izboljšave.

Secondary abstract:	Velenje is a very young town whose development began in the 1950s. Intensified lignite mining resulted in increased workforce demand, and large numbers of people began moving into the town. The authorities of the time saw this as an opportunity to build a contemporary modernistic town with free-standing structures positioned between large green areas. Hence many different sports facilities were spread across the town, but their current condition varies to a great extent. The aim of this diploma dissertation was to present and analyse the sports facilities in the town of Velenje. In preparing the dissertation, the method of mapping and the techniques of surveying and interviewing were used in addition to the existing literature. Through survey and interviews we wanted to learn the opinion of the users and managers of the sports facilities. It was concluded that the choice and state of sports facilities are satisfactory, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
