Abstract

Namen diplomskega dela Alojz Ihan - pesnik, pisatelj in esejist je bil, predstaviti Ihanovo literarno ustvarjanje na podlagi petih tematskih sklopov, in sicer ljubezen, vera, življenje : smrt, umetnost : znanost in živali. Izziv pri iskanju podobnosti in razlik je bil, povezati fabule treh različnih literarnih zvrsti (poezije, proze in esejistike), v katerih se način komunikacije z bralci precej razlikuje. Diplomsko delo je bilo teoretično zastavljeno in je nastalo s poglobljenim študijem literature in virov. Metode dela so bile naslednje: deskriptivna metoda (življenjepis Alojza Ihana), komparativna metoda (primerjanje tematskih sklopov ljubezen, vera, življenje : smrt, umetnost : znanost in živali v poeziji, prozi in esejih ter iskanje podobnosti in razlik), metoda klasifikacije (umestitev literarnega ustvarjanja Alojza Ihana v slovenski prostor in književnost) ter metoda analize in sinteze (analiza pesmi, romanov in esejev, razčlenitev vsebine, sestavljanje ugotovljenih dejstev v novo celoto).

Secondary title: Alojz Ihan - poet, writer and essayist
Secondary abstract: The purpose of the thesis "Alojz Ihan - poet, writer and essayist" was to present Ihan's literary work on the basis of five subject areas, namely love, religion, life vs. death, art vs. science and, last but not least, animals. When looking for similarities and differences, it was a challenge to connect fables of three different literary genres (poetry, prose and essay); in each literary genre the way of communicating with the readers differs greatly. The thesis is based on theory and is the result of a thorough study of literature and sources. The following methods were used: the descriptive method (Alojz Ihan's curriculum vitae), the comparative method (the comparison of the subject areas love, religion, life vs. death, art vs. science and animals in poetry, prose and essay as well as determining similarities and differences), the method of classification (classifying Alojz Ihan's literary work into the Slovene space and literature) as well as the method of analysis and synthesis (the analysis of poems, novels, essays, the analysis of the content, gathering the obtained facts into a new entity). When analysing and synthesising Ihan's literary work it became clear that certain motives (for example the motive of Jesus Christ), topics (for instance the human characteristics of Jesus Christ) and literary opinions (Christ stressed the meaning of religion in human intimacy) appear in all three literary genres in which he writes. The expressiveness of the poem or the topic of the novel is further elaborated in essays, in which the literary opinion is supported by various arguments.
