Abstract

Bolezen in morebiten odhod v bolnišnico je povezan s strahom, neugodjem in ločitvijo od staršev oziroma od matere. Zato imajo starši in vzgojitelji v času hospitalizacije zelo pomembno vlogo, da otroka spodbujajo k ustvarjalni igri in mu s tem preprečijo predajanje mračnim mislim. Pri tem je nujno tesno sodelovanje z ostalimi zdravstvenimi delavci na eni in starši otroka na drugi strani. V diplomskem delu smo želeli predstaviti, kako otrok doživlja bolezen, bivanje v bolnišnici v različnih razvojnih obdobjih, kako starši doživljajo bolnega otroka, kakšne so otrokove pravice pri bivanju v bolnišnici, kako otroci čustveno in socialno doživljajo bolnišnico, bivanje v njej, česa se bojijo in koga pogrešajo. Najbolj nas je zanimala ključna vloga vzgojitelja v bolnišničnem vrtcu, kakšni so njegovi cilji in metode dela, kako poteka vzgojiteljevo načrtovanje in prilagajanje programa na posameznem vzgojnem področju, kakšna je komunikacija med vzgojiteljem, zdravstvenimi delavci, starši in otrokom ter kako uporabiti različne terapevtske dejavnosti kot sredstvo za sproščanje stisk pri bolnem otroku. V zadnjem delu diplomskega dela smo želeli predstaviti oddelke bolnišnice Celje, oddelke Univerzitetnega kliničnega centra Maribor in Ljubljana, kjer delujejo bolnišnični vzgojitelji. Vzgojitelje so uvedli na otroških oddelkih šele s procesom humanizacije. Njihova vloga pa ni omejena le na predšolske otroke, ampak imajo pomembno vlogo tudi pri šolarjih, najstnikih in mladostnikih.

Secondary title: THE ROLE OF A CHILDCARE WORKER IN A HOSPITAL KINDERGARTEN
Secondary abstract: Illness and potential hospital admission are connected with fear, discomfort and separation from child's parents or mother. During hospitalisation, parents and carers often play a very important role by encouraging children's creative play thus preventing them from turning to dark thoughts. What is crucial here is close cooperation with other healthcare professionals on the one, and children's parents on the other hand. The aim of this diploma work is to present how a child perceives illness, staying in hospital in different periods of development, how parents perceive a sick child, what rights children have whilst staying in hospital, how children react to a hospital in emotional and social sense, what they fear and whom they miss. The main emphasis is put on the analysis of the key role of hospital kindergarten teachers, their goals and work methods, programme planning and adjustment to specific educational field, communication between kindergarten teachers, healthcare professionals, parents and children and various therapeutic activities as a means of relieving anxieties in sick children. The last part of the diploma work is targeted at the presentation of the wards at the Celje Hospital and the University Medical Centres Maribor and Ljubljana where hospital educators are employed. The educators at the children's wards have been introduced within the humanisation process. Their role is not limited solely to pre-school children; they are also involved in the work with school children, teenagers and young persons.
