Abstract
V diplomskem delu sem predstavila zgodovino in razvoj šolstva v Hočah in opisala začetke nastajanja osnovnega šolstva na Slovenskem skozi posamezna obdobja. Zgodovino kraja sem predstavila z geografskim in zgodovinskim pregledom. Zgodovinski pregled obsega kraj v pradavnih časih, čas prve in druge svetovne vojne ter čas med obema vojnama. Prikazala sem dve krajevni znamenitosti, grad Hompoš in cerkev Sv. Jurija. Prvi pisni dokument o organiziranosti poučevanja v Hočah je iz leta 1641. Letnica 1750 prikazuje začetek rednega šolanja v Hočah. Poučevanje je bilo organizirano v skupini oziroma v enem razredu. Leta 1875 je bila šola razširjena na trirazrednico. Zaradi pomanjkanja prostora so začeli razmišljati o povečanju prostora za učence. Po dolgem času je prišlo do gradnje nove šolske stavbe v letu 1895. V tej stavbi so bili trije razredi, stanovanje za šolskega upravitelja, enega učitelja in kabinet za učila. Leto 1958 je za osnovno šolstvo pomenilo najpomembnejšo prelomnico po II. svetovni vojni, saj je bila uzakonjena osemletna osnovna šola kot edina oblika obveznega osnovnega šolstva. Osnovna šola je bila osemletna do leta 2000, ko je bila postopoma uvedena devetletna osnovna šola. S tem so vsi, ki so obiskovali osemletno osnovno šolo, iz petega šli v sedmi razred.

This diploma thesis presents the history and development of the schooling system in Hoče and describes the beginnings of primary school education in Slovenia through various periods. The history of the town was presented by means of a geographic and historic overview. The historic overview encompasses the history of the town in the pre-historic age, during both world wars and the period between the world wars. Two local points of interest were also presented, namely the Castle Hompoš and the Church of St. George (cerkev sv. Jurija). The first written document about organized teaching in Hoče is from 1641. The year 1750 represents the beginning of regular education in Hoče. The classes were organised in one group, i.e. in one class. In 1875 the school was expanded and now had three classes. Due to the lack of space an expansion of the classroom area was considered. After a considerable amount of time, a new school building was finally constructed in 1895. This building contained three classrooms, a flat for the school supervisor, a flat for one teacher and a teaching aid cabinet. 1958 was the most important turning point for primary education after World War II: the 8-year primary school was enforced as the only form of compulsory primary education. The 8-year school system stayed in place until 2000, when the 9-year primary school had been introduced gradually, which meant that all pupils of the 8-year primary school went from year 5 to year 7. |
