Abstract

Vloga očeta pri vzgoji otroka v predšolskem obdobju je tema, s katero se srečujejo vsi starši, najbolj pa očetje, že pred rojstvom otroka. Prehod v očetovstvo je zanj izkušnja, ki mu je do tedaj neznana, vendar je pomembno poslanstvo v življenju odraslega moškega. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo se dotaknili vloge očeta v preteklosti in kako so se začele spreminjati vrednote očetov, ki se vedno bolj zavedajo starševske vloge ter aktivno sodelujejo pri vzgoji njihovega otroka. Opisali smo vlogo in pomen očetovstva in kako se različni pristopi očetov v vzgoji kažejo pri otroku in kaj pomeni za očeta posvojitev in skrbništvo nad otrokom. Govorili bomo o prednostih in slabostih očetovskega dopusta, ureditvi očetovskega dopusta v Sloveniji ter koriščenju dopusta v mestni občini Celje med letoma 2005 in 2009. V empiričnem delu smo raziskovali in ugotavljali, v kolikšni meri očetje v dveh vrtcih občine Celje sodelujejo pri negi in vzgoji otroka, koliko anketiranih je koristilo očetovski dopust in vzrok za to, ali so bili prisotni pri porodu njihovega otroka ter kaj zanje pomeni pojem očetovstvo. Hipoteze, ki smo jih zastavili, so bile potrjene, nekaj je bilo le delno potrjenih. Rezultati ankete kažejo, da se večina očetov aktivno vključuje v vzgojo otroka, glede očetovstva pa imajo vsi pozitivno mnenje.

Secondary abstract: All parents, especially fathers meet the topic of the role of a father in the upbringing of a child in a preschool period even before the child is born. The transition into the fatherhood is an experience unknown to him, but it is an important mission in a life of an adult man. In the theoretical part of the diploma we touched the role of a father in the past and how the values of fathers have started changing, making them more and more aware of their parental part and causing their active participation in the upbringing of their child. We described the role and meaning of fatherhood, how fathers' different approaches in the upbringing project on the child and what do adoption and guardianship of the child mean for the father. We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of paternity leave, the arrangement of it in Slovenia and how it was used in Celje municipality between 2005 and 2009. In the empirical part we researched and found out to what extent fathers in two kindergartens in Celje take part in child nursing and upbringing. We wanted to know how many interviewees used their paternity leave and why, whether they participated the birth of their child and what does the concept of fatherhood mean to them. The hypotheses we set were confirmed, some were only partially confirmed. The results of the survey show that most fathers are actively included in their child's upbringing and they feel positively about fatherhood.
