Abstract
Globalne normative, ki narekujejo postopno razogličenje družbe v vseh sektorjih, predvidevajo uporabo obnovljivih virov energije v industirji in transportu. Mednje sodi tudi zeleni vodik. Kontrola rasti vodikovih mehurčkov pri procesu elektrolize je ključnega pomena, saj direktno narekuje količino proizvedenega plina. Z znanjem o vplivnosti procesnih parametrih in njihovih interakcijah lahko optimiziramo proces elektrolize. V delu raziskujemo parametre, ki vplivajo na rast vodikovih mehurčkov. Izvedli smo eksperiment elektrolize s kontroliranjem pomembnejših parametrov v procesu nastajanja in rasti mehurčkov. Obravnavali smo medsebojno vplivanje vplivnih parametrov, kot so različne vrste elektrolita, materiala in aktivne površine elektrode ter operativne napetosti na razvoj, rast in odcepitev vodikovih mehurčkov. Z ustrezno nastavitvijo obravnavanih ključnih parametrov in z agitacijo elektrolita lahko zmanjšamo zaostajanje vodikovih mehurčkov na površini in izboljšamo njihovo odcepitev.

Global standards dictating the progressive decarbonisation of society in all sectors include the use of renewable energy sources in industry and transport. This includes green hydrogen. Controlling the growth of hydrogen bubbles in the electrolysis process is crucial as it directly determines the amount of gas produced. The electrolysis process can be optimised by understanding the influence of process parameters and their interactions. In this work we investigate the parameters that influence the growth of hydrogen bubbles. We have performed an electrolysis experiment by controlling the most important parameters in the bubble formation and growth process. The interaction of influential parameters such as different types of electrolyte, electrode material and active surface area, and operating voltage on the formation, growth and detachment of hydrogen bubbles was considered. By appropriately tuning the key parameters considered and by agitating the electrolyte, we can reduce the lagging of hydrogen bubbles on the surface and improve their detachment. |
