Abstract

Secondary title: Analysis of physical activities in the past and present time
Secondary abstract: My thesis, titled Analysis of physical activities in the past and present time, is divided into two parts, a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part we focus on an overview of physical activities in Slovenia, physical education from 50 years ago until today, the role of the kindergarten and of the family in directing physical activities, suitability of bought and improvised sports accessories and enrollment of children in organized physical activities. We describe the chosen physical activities and their impact on the physical development of a child. In the empirical part we present and research physical activities of children and their knowledge of certain sports as well as certain physical activities. The chosen physical activities we had a closer look at were: rubber twist, roller blading, skating, roller skating, kick scooter, bicycle, skiing, basketball, football and ice skating. We also researched how well the parents of preschool children know these sports with the help of a survey which we compared to childrens results. This is how we presented and evaluated our hypothesis. With the help of the survey we compared physical activities of children with the physical activities of their parents and we researched for reasons for the lack of childrens physical activities in the present time.
