Abstract

Izpostavili smo pomembnost osebne higiene: umivanje rok in zob, pravilna in zdrava prehrana, gibalne aktivnosti, počitek, spanje in prezračevanje. V drugem starostnem obdobju (3-6 let) si zobe v vrtcu umivajo skoraj vsi.

Secondary title: HEALTHCARE IN NURSERY SCHOOL
Secondary abstract: Objective of this thesis entitled Nursery School Healthcare is to establish how or respectively in what ways the nursery school teachers take care for the health of the nursery school children. The thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and the empirical part. The theoretical part contains description of all health types - the social, mental, personal, emotional, physical and spiritual. Determinants affecting our health and cooperation of the teachers and parents are described as well. Further, the role of the nursery school related to the healthcare and the relation to curriculum topics are defined. The importance of the personal hygiene, like washing hands, brushing the teeth, appropriate and healthy diet, physical activity, resting, sleeping and airing are pointed out. The empirical part contains findings gained by the questionnaires for the nursery teachers of the three units of the Studenci Maribor nursery school, which were conducted in April 2010. The questionnaire was designed to establish whether nursery teachers take care of the children's health, in what ways and whether they possess enough knowledge. It aimed to find out also whether children in the nursery school wash hands before meals and brush their teeth after the meal. It also questioned whether children are informed about the healthy food and diet. Results of the data show that the nursery teachers possess enough knowledge about the health care of the nursery school children, that they encourage children in the healthy diet, that they regularly air the playrooms and that children always wash hands before meals. The data revealed that children in the first age group (age 1-3 years) do not brush teeth in the nursery school whereas in the second age group (age 3-6 years) almost all children do brush their teeth.
