Abstract

Raziskovali smo, koliko osnovnih šol v Pomurski in Savinjski regiji izvaja interesno dejavnost astronomija v drugem triletju in na kakšen način mentorji le-to izvajajo, katere metode in oblike dela izbirajo, kakšne so materialne zmožnosti in predvsem, katere vsebine učencem predstavijo.

Secondary title: ASTRONOMICAL CONTENTS AT INTEREST ACTIVITIES IN THE SECOND TRIENNIUM OF PRIMARY SCHOOL
Secondary abstract: Extracurricular activities are the forms of educational work, which discover, shape and develop pupils' interests. In the annual school plan of primary schools, many different extracurricular activities from different fields are included, which enable each pupil to take part in at least one extracurricular activity. Some schools enable their pupils to take astronomy lessons as a part of extracurricular activities. We investigated how many primary schools in the regions of Pomursko and Savinjsko offer astronomy lessons as an extracurricular activity in the second triennium and how do teachers carry out these lessons, which methods and forms of work are used, what kind of material is available and above all which astronomy-related topics are presented. We found out that very few primary schools offer astronomy lessons as an extracurricular activity. The teachers who carry out this extracurricular activity wish that there were more seminars, a complete educational plan and more ideas about topics and classroom activities available which in their opinion could contribute to a greater interest of other schools in introducing astronomy as an extracurricular activity. In the diploma paper, on the basis of these findings, relevant literature for carrying out astronomy as an extracurricular activity was gathered in an organized and clearly arranged way, and based on teachers' experiences and our own ideas, we created an educational plan for carrying out this extracurricular activity.
