Abstract

V diplomskem delu predstavim pomen demonstracijskih poskusov za doseganje dodatne motivacije učencev za učenje naravoslovja in tehnike. Po podrobnem pregledu učnih načrtov za fiziko in tehniko ter učbenikov za oba predmeta sem pripravil štiri motivacijske poskuse z električnim oblokom: obločna svetilka, varjenje s svinčnikom, rezanje s plazmo in obločni plamen v vodi. Ti poskusi predstavljajo prenos postopkov obdelave iz industrije v učilnico in so novost na osnovnošolskem področju. Za vsak poskus podrobno predstavim pripravo poskusa, njegovo izvedbo in opis dogajanja. Poskuse sem z učenci tudi izvedel, zato podajam izkušnje pri izvedbi, odzive učencev in njihovo vključevanje. Praktični del je opremljen z navodili, fotografijami in razlago za učence. Uporabljeni pripomočki so preprosti in poskusi niso zahtevni za izvedbo. Vsi poskusi povezujejo področje fizike s tehniko in tehnologijo, umestimo jih lahko v učne priprave tako obveznih kot izbirnih predmetov.

Secondary abstract: The purpose of my thesis is to present the importance of demonstration experiments in order to increase pupils' motivation for studying Science and Design and Technology. After studying the curricula for Physics and Design thoroughly I have prepared four motivating experiments dealing with the electric arc: the arc lamp, pencil welding, plasma cutting and the arc flame in water. These experiments represent transfer of work procedures from industry into the elementary school. In addition to the experiments themselves I describe their preparation, the conduction of each experiment and the description of the class activities throughout the experimental work. The experiments have already been made by my pupils under my mentorship, so I am also able to present the experience gained at experimental work, the pupils' reactions to this kind of work and their level of activity. The practical part is accompanied by instructions, photographs and the explanations for pupils. The experimental kit used is simple and the experiments are easy to be performed. All the experiments are cross-curricular: they link Physics to Design and Technology. Additionally, they can also be used in the lesson planning of the compulsory as well as elective courses.
