diplomsko delo

Abstract

Osebki so razdeljeni v tri skupine, to so tri geografske regije (S-južna regija, W-zahodna, C-centralna). Opisala in ovrednotila sem spolno in geografsko variabilnost lobanje dinarske voluharice, Dinaromys bogdanovi.

Secondary title: GEOGRAPHICAL VARIABILITY OF THE CRANIUM IN MARTINO'S VOLE DINAROMYS BOGDANOVI (V. IN E. MARTINO 1922), (RODENTIA MAMMALIA)
Secondary abstract: In the first part of my diploma I have made a univariate statistical analysis on ten cranial marks of the Balkan Snow Vole, Dinaromys bogdanovi. In the second part I have made a multivariate analysis, again on ten cranial marks. The analysis included 197 specimens. The specimens were sorted into three groups according to their geographical region (S-south region, W-west region, C-central region). I have described and evaluated the sexual and geographical variability of the cranium in the Balkan Snow Vole, Dinaromys bogdanovi. I have examined the secondary sexual dimorphism and concluded that there is no difference between the male and female, which is why I treated both sexes as a single sample from there on. The possibility of the greatest differentiation between the sample groups from different geographical regions was tested with discriminatory analysis. The general results of different multivariate methods show a large overlapping of the morph metric space. Most evident is the overlapping of the central and southern as well as central and western region.
